A clear and fair discourse breaks down taboos and encourages employees to take care of their mental health. The WHO defines mental health as "a state of well-being that enables people to achieve their full potential". Management must adopt an inclusive and encouraging approach to encourage employee commitment on this subject.
Creating a culture of care involves more than just good intentions. It involves concrete actions to reduce employees' mental workload, improve their well-being, and encourage a right to disconnect that is respected by all. This webinar presents the "10 commandments of manager care", a structured approach to integrating mental health into daily practices. Learn how practices such as informal exchanges, transparency and authenticity can transform the climate within your organization.
Active listening is essential to understanding how employees feel. This webinar explains how this benevolent approach can improve communication, build trust and defuse situations before they become critical. The "4Rs" technique (Reformulate, Summarize, Reflect, Reinforce) is an effective tool for improving this skill.
Accompanying an employee in difficulty is above all a matter of listening and engaging in friendly dialogue, encouraging the free expression of difficulties. By paying attention to weak signals such as changes in behavior or mood, the manager can intervene at the right moment and offer appropriate support. However, they must bear in mind that they are neither psychologists nor doctors: their role is above all to direct employees towards the appropriate resources and professionals.
A manager who feels good about himself will be better able to help his teams. To preserve his or her own mental health, he or she needs to maintain a healthy lifestyle, for example, by avoiding excessive caffeine, staying sufficiently hydrated and engaging in regular physical activity to reduce stress. Cardiac coherence is an effective tool for relaxation. It's also essential to respect your needs by identifying your values and acting in accordance with them, while learning to say no to preserve your energy and establish clear boundaries between professional and personal life. Finally, disconnection is essential to avoid cognitive overload, by limiting the use of emails and notifications outside working hours, and setting aside time for uninterrupted concentration.
By watching this webinar, you'll be better equipped to meet the challenges of mental health in the workplace, while strengthening the commitment and performance of your teams. Whether you're an executive, HR or manager, watch the replay to take action for a healthy, high-performance work environment.
